This site has been created to gain momentum in forming a

class action lawsuit against Justfly.com

owned by 8982937 Canada, Inc,

250 Water St., Suite 302 Summerside, PE, C1N 1B6.

Justfly's website can be found at www.justfly.com.

You may have found yourself directed from sites such as Kayak, TripAdvisor, or other ticketing search engines.

It is clearly obvious that Justfly is not operating in accordance to the United States Department of Transportation Office of the Secretary, Washington DC's 24-hour reservation requirement which reads, in part;

The 24-hour reservation requirement is mandated by the department of Transportations consumer rule Enhancing Airline Passenger Protections” (14 CFR 259.5(b)(4), 76 Fed. Reg. 23110, 23166, Apr. 25, 2011) and applies to all reservations made seven days or more prior to the flight’s scheduled departure time. To comply with the regulation, carrier may not deceive consumers about the 24-hour reservation requirement when consumers inquire about cancelling or changing a reservation within 24 hours of making or paying for that reservation.
You can find find this LEGISLATIVE ACT at;
http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&ved=0CB4QFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.dot.gov%2Fsites%2Fdot.dev%2Ffiles%2Fdocs%2FNotice_24hour_hold_final20130530.pdf&ei=Y4VqVbuMFovFggSlh4CgCQ&usg=AFQjCNED_o7W4Ic19STOcGhOlaCisc96gg&sig2=LDZczdI4lLmh9FfA-1q1dg&bvm=bv.94455598,d.eXY

The United States regulation Uses the term Carrier and Ticket agent interchangeably. These regulations are set forth to protect consumers from unfair ticketing policies by agencies targeting US consumers.

Justfly has reportedly been performing many other deceitful business practices such as fees not matching advertized/agreed upon prices, cancelling bookings and attempting to charge additional fees or put people on less desirable flights, not refunding customers as agreed, etc.
We need your voice and contact information if we are going to put an end to this horrendous business practice and protect other buyers from these deceitful acts.

Please join in and tell us your experience, resolution or lack there of, and an e-mail address we can reach you at for further information.

  1. Justfly's latest tactic is to make a mistake on the name or flight direction rendering the ticket useless. They say there will be some delay to get your email confirmation as they are very busy. That means people don't check it right away. By the time they see the email the are told it is too late to change. They charged us 250 dollars cancellation fee for each ticket. They must be making a killing on this. How can they miss spell my name on the ticket but get it right on the credit card transaction? Why is there no recourse whatsoever?

    3. Thanks for sharing this, Charles! I was scammed, too. I bought tickets back in January, then my flights got canceled because of COVID-19. I had to pay $35 to request a refund that was posted in June, and as of today, no refund yet. I have contacted them several times because my refund only remains in “Progress”. They claimed there’s a problem with my credit card to process the refund back in August, but that’s a lie. I’ve never changed my credit card. I guess they steal money by using some kind of game and technology. Now their game is to pretend that there’s no communication on the phone, either asking if I can hear them or calling back just to remain silent after I say hello several times. I’d like to join you and everyone in a class action to sue them. They stole over $1000 dollars, including fees and their suggestion for flight insurance.

  4. Justfly.com sold us an itinerary based on flights scheduled without enough connection time such that the airline refused to check us in. They then charged me $300 to get a different itinerary the following morning. When we called the airlines involved, they had not record of the new itinerary. As a result we had to purchase expensive air tickets with an alternate carriers to salvage our vacation. Now the other airlines thay had originally booked us on, which refused to check us in are charging us for the tickets we were not allowed to use ;-(

  5. Horrible horrible agency! I booked international flights for me and my daughter back in September 2016. My other daughter, who's only one year old broke her leg, so I can't fly, as I am taking care of her. I asked to change the dates or cancel, they said pay $250 fee for each passenger flying. Or provide a doctor's note. I provided a doctor's note, they still want me to pay the fees, or I need to provide a full emergency room report. I tried to file a dispute with Wells Fargo bank, which I used to buy the tickets. They said they're hands are tied because it does say on Justfly.com that the tickets are non refundable. So I just kept calling the stupid agency and being kept on hold for up to an hour just to be told I gotta pay more money to cancel or change the dates. This isn't going anywhere. So I filed a report with The Better Business Bureau today, hoping to hear from them soon. Not only am I stuck with the hospital bills, I'll be loosing the $1,200 I paid for the tickets. Very stressful and want that agency closed ASAP as all they do is scam people!

I am having the same issue as you. I am really disappointed on this company. I am trying to search more about the company operation. they still have my credit of 2,280.00 pending for me, my mom and sister. We pay the cancellation fee of 150.00 each but im thinking about file a claim from the bank about the cancellation fees. I want to use my full credit to purchase a ticket to Europe and they keep me on hold for many hours. They are scammers and horrible. I hope with passion that they shut closed this ASAP and stop cheating people like that. Omg I hate this ! :(

  6. I tried to cancel in advance and requested a refund of airport fees and taxes, since justfly has no right to withhold those fees and taxes for flights cancelled a week in advance. I was put on hold and never given a response. This seems to be huge amount of money being pocketed by justfly for each cancellation. I support class action.

  15. Booked tickets to Italy for our family with Justfly. The airline made a changed to one flight and when Justfly rebooked they did not issue new ticket numbers, so the airline could not accommodate us. I spent two hours on the phone with them at the airport, three quarters of which I was on hold. They said it was the airlines fault. It was their issue and they would not resolve it. We had to go back home and ended up booking with the airline. They have yet to help resolve the issue. Every phone call is at least an hour on hold and getting the run around. They are criminal. I hope someone does take this suit up!

  19. I booked with JustFly.com today. I needed a change in my reservation, they advised me to cancel and rebook. I did. When I went to pay, my CC was declined because of pending chargers for the first booking. They asked for another card. I explained I'd rather not pay twice, but I would do so rather than lose the booking. "Toni" ASSURED ME that I did not have to pay again, that they would apply the refund to my new booking. I pressed her on this. She ASSURED ME, DON'T WORRY, NOTHING WILL HAPPEN TO YOUR BOOKING. I called about 5 hrs later because I was getting nervous. I gave justfly.com another card. They said my ticket price had GONE UP BY $4000. "Flight prices are subject to change blah blah blah" -- I UNDERSTAND that prices can be fluid and subject to change -- SO DON'T TRIPLE-ASSURE ME THAT MY BOOKING WAS SAFE. I am lawyer myself, this is what is known as "detrimental reliance".

  21. I want to join this class action lawsuit!

    Here is my story...

I reserved round-trip flights on Air Berlin for my two adult daughters on April 25 for $2004.02 (including $120 insurance). Their return flight was 2:05 pm on July 10, 2017.

Then, on May 23, I received an email with a change notification from JustFly. In this email, the only time change of which I was notified was that the June 29th flight was slightly changed by 10 minutes. However, the returning 2:05 PM flight remained unchanged.

On June 12, to my surprise, I received electronic tickets in an email from JustFly and noticed that the return flight was changed to 6:25 AM. As I had booked a 2:05 pm flight out, this almost 8 hour advance in flight time makes it absolutely impossible for my daughters to catch their flights. This prompted me to call JustFly customer service.

Please understand that I already booked an all day-trip to Cinque Terra on Sunday July 9. We have already reserved trains to go back to Florence at 11:50 PM where we have evening plans. Then, for the next morning, Monday July 10, we have reserved a 9 AM train from Florence to the Rome airport to catch our afternoon flights. (Note: my wife, son, and I have a separate flight leaving at 3 PM).

Note that there is no train service available between midnight to 6 AM. The first train will depart Florence at 5:50 AM.

As soon as I received these electronic tickets showing this change, I called an Air Berlin customer service representative. He told me that Air Berlin already informed JustFly about the change on May 23rd. My question is, why didn’t JustFly notify me immediately and give me options? Or did they forget to adjust the time in the May 23rd notification email? This is clearly an egregious error on their part. If I had known about the change I could have adjusted my itinerary but, unfortunately, I already booked expensive museum and train tickets that are not refundable.

I asked the JustFly representative to change the returning flight to the next day (July 11) without penalty fees but my request was denied. After many hours on the phone, the JustFly representative suggested to me to cancel the round-trip flight and re-book new flights to different dates. The amount was $3010 including $700 penalty fees!! Which means the total cost is $5014.86 ($2004.02 and $3010.84) that is extremely upsetting. Before the rep charged the amount to my credit card, I asked her if the fee $3010 was the total amount or it was on top of the first fee of $2004. The rep mentioned that $3010 was the total. I thought I would pay the difference such as around $1000 when my credit card was charged.

  26. I just booked a flight with Justfly this evening and then when I went to pen it into my calendar, realized that the chamber chorus that I sing in has a concert that night (that wasn't on the original list). When I tried to cancel within MINUTES of making the reservation they started out with "Normally the fee would be $200 but we'll only charge you $75. . ." I spoke to two different supervisors and they wouldn't budge from trying to charge me a fee and tried to negotiate a lower and lower fee while I continued to insist that I had a right to cancel for no charge since it was within 24 hours. They kept countering with "Terms and Conditions" and I kept arguing that Terms and Conditions that are in violation of law or statute are null. The last supervisor just flatly refused to cancel my reservation. I called the actual airline and their customer service person confirmed that, third party or not, they were required to follow the same (14 CFR 259.5(b)(4), 76 Fed. Reg. 23110, 23166, Apr. 25, 2011) as an airline is. The customer service person at the airline was just "blown away" with the audacity of the Justfly people. In the end I ended up keeping my reservation rather than staying on the phone with the Justfly person, but now, after reading all the horror stories, I'm concerned that I could get screwed by them again in some other new and evil way when I try to go to visit my kids during the holidays.

When I checked my account I saw that there were 2 charges. One from "Just Fly" and than another charge from "Virgin America". What is even stranger is that the next day when I went to check my account the charge from Virgin America was reversed and the money had been refunded to my account. But the charge from JustFly was still reflected on my account. I'm so worried that I may not even be able to use the tickets and this was suppose to be a surprise for my BF.

  27. I will chime in here- we are booked with just fly and missed our fight this morning. They took over $2000 from us and we can't get on another flight. Flight insurance covers nothing. We are currently in the process of booking a new itinerary with them out of desperation but they can't seem to charge our credit card. When you miss a flight, there is no accountability, no alternative itinerary and nothing can be done. American Airlines did nothing. Etihad Airways counted us as a no show and did nothing. I say let's sue these assholes.

It showed the credit last night, but when I got on tonight it was gone and showed the original flight. I was charged the $75.00 cancellation fee as well. So now I have the original flight showing, out $75.00 + the $202.00 flight fee. I am afraid to use them to obtain the $202.00 credit as I would be hesitant to use my credit card. I hear they will give you a price and then up charge you without your knowledge. These people are con artists taking advantage of people like me who do not travel and are not knowledgeable enough regarding flying. I would like to join the lawsuit as I believe this company is a complete and utter fraud.

  31. I was gouged $1008 dollars by an awful booking agency called www.JustFly.com. I bought 2 tickets to go to Greece for $1443 in Oct 2017. I changed the flight within 24 hours to leave a day later as I made an error in booking. When I hit enter online to make the change I thought I was going to pay the new cost of 2 tickets - This showed as $1258 total and maybe the $150 penalty fee per ticket for changing tickets (as shown in their terms) and get reimbursed the original $1443 - Not get charged an additional $1308 (504 + 150 per ticket) for changing two tickets within 24 hours of purchasing. That’s insanity. They stated that the $504 includes $250 an cancellation fee by the ariline and $279 increase in cost of the flight. The flight did NOT go up that much - I saw the flight prices online. Why would I knowingly pay nearly double for changing tickets within 24 hours of purchase? And what kind of customer service would deny someone who called within hours of the purchase seeing that an error was made? I called 3 times and no one would listen. No one would ever let me talk to a manager. These tickets are for June 2018! They have more than 8 months to sell these tickets. And theyre making three times the actual charge of the tickets. They are a predatory business and need to be stopped. How do we get this class action suit started?!

  34. We wanted to add our case to the list, it bears so much resemblance to other cases here.

We booked a ticket over the phone because my wife wanted to confirm seating arrangements ahead of the booking and we were led to the phone service from the website with statements like there are better deals and options if you call directly.
The agent who took our details has confirmed with us the spelling of the name by using phonetic spelling and it seemed like it would be a good transaction.
The first concern new had was when we were asked to pay first before any confirmation was possible. Due to our continued conversation with the agent we decided to proceed.
The agent never told us we have to check the email confirmation within 24 hours but instead said the email may take up to 24 hours to arrive. We had not checked the email on time, but did check that the transaction was executed against our credit card. It was, and we assumed that since the name is the same on both items, this should be ok.
When we finally got around to check the ticket 4 days later, we discovered that the name, appearing almost hidden in the email was misspelled.
How the agent could have gotten the credit card details correctly but not the ticket is beyond me.
The Saga then started. We've spent over 10 hours on the phone over more than 5 conversations and had experienced the same treatment others here have been subjected to with complete denial of responsibility or acknowledgement of their fault by misspelling the name on the ticket.
Botyom line is that the only way to amend this requires us to trust them by paying another ticket with the right name and then wait for a refund.
We think that'd be good money honing after bad and are pursuing the issue through the credit card company without too much hope of seeing our money again.
We know for a fact that although the booking exists with the airline, the airline had not been paid yet but just fly are still refusing to issue a refund.

This company is clearly operating a scam.
Please add our names to your list.

  35. I also would like to join the lawsuit against JusFly, I have been traveling for the last 25 years and never had such horrible experience with my flight as when I booked with JusFly. I was duped by Justfly when I was searching for a flight from Washington to Madina and found a less price round trip and received a message that you have to call to get the deal, when I called the agent told me that this trip is not available and started to give me alternatives within the price rang with $150 more on each ticket also I was told that the insurance for each ticket in no more than $10 but it will be sent via email after I book the flight. So I was fooled and booked the flight with Turkish airlines and was told over the phone that I will have a layover 7 hrs in IST airport. So I went ahead and thought it is okay since I am saving couples hundreds dollars for 5 tickets for me and my family. What was shocking me that on my return from Madina to Washington the airline told me that I have a problem with my tickets and not allowed to board because the airport is not the IST international airport and I will be sent back if I choose to board and the alternative is to take another flight which was going to IST but I have to pay for new tickets so I ended up paying $3000 to be able to get back to US, that added my total tickets cost to $9000 which I could easily travel with better airlines if I knew in fact that I will be going through all these horrible troubles and problems. When I called justfly to submit a claim it was shocking to me that there no claims and it was my fault no to check with the airlines. I spent over two hours speaking with the customer service and then the supervisor and was shocked that they are both speaking from the same script that it is my fault that I don’t have a visa to Turkey, it is unbelievable to get to know that traveling from Washington to Any coutery you will need a visa for the transit country which I have no business with or on my travel plan. Definitely JusFly is a punch of scammers who deceive people by their tickets search low price until they catch their pry.
I am hundred percent in supporting this lawsuit

  36. I AM ONE OF THE MANY WHO DEFINITELY WOULD JOIN THE CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT AGAINST "JUST FLY.COM". FIRST & FOREMOST IT IS MANNED BY INCAPABLE AND INCOMPETENT OUTSOURCED STAFF. THEY FUNCTION BY READING THROUGH THEIR "SCRIPTS" ANYTHING "OUTSIDE THE BOX" OR "ODD", THEY ARE UNABLE TO SORT OUT. VERY REGIMENTAL AND NO TINGE OF FLEXIBILITY!!! I INADVERTENTLY PUNCHED MY FULL NAME IN ERROR (THAT IS WHAT THESE REPRESENTANTIVES) ARE CLAIMING AND THEY ARE PENALISING ME $25.00 FOR CANCELING MY TICKET SO THEY COULD RE-BOOK ME. I CAUGHT THE DISPSRITY ON MY NAME WHEN THEY SENT ME A CONFIRMATION EMAIL & I ALERTED THEM IMMEDIATELY. ALL THESE HAPPENED JUST WITHIN 5 MINUTES. I WAS ARGUING WITH THE SUPERVISOR NAMED CIELO & VINA FOR ALMOST AN HOUR AND THEY WOULD NOT BUDGE. IT'S EITHER I PAY THE $25.00 TO CANCEL THE TICKET OR TAKE THE RISK OF TRAVELLING WITH INCONSISTENT NAMES (BETWEEN TICKET & PASSPORT). THERE WAS NO OFFER OF EMPATHY ALL THEY NEED IS MY $25.00 OR RISK MY TRAVEL. I ASKED FOR THE COMPANY'S ADDRESS TO COMPLAIN LO AND BEHOLD CIELO TELLS ME " WE COULD NOT DIVULGE AS THEY ARE CONFIDENTIAL". THESE DO NOT HAVE ANY CLUE WHAT THEY ARE SAYING ....THAT "EVERYTHING AND ANYTHING" COULD BE GOOGLED AND VOILA! I FOUND THIS WEBSITE AND MOST IMPORTANTLY THE NAME OF THE OWNER AND THE SEC# OF THE BUSINESS. I HAVE NEVER ENCOUNTERED A BUSINESS WHERE THE WORD "FLEXIBILITY" EXIST! I COULD ONLY DESCRIBE THE REPRESENTATIVES TOGETHER WITH THE JUST FLY MANAGEMENT AS CRUEL; MERCILESSNESS AND MEAN!
JUST FLY IS A "FLY BY NIGHT", NO ETHICS AT ALL!
LET US ALL STARTNA CLASS ACTION SUIT, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE AND WE START NOW! PLS GET IN TOUCH.

  37. WARNING: JUSTFLY IS A SCAM. BOOK DIRECTLY WITH THE AIRLINES.

If I could give Justfly.com zero stars, I would. They are a total scam, I wish I would have payed attention to the Better Business Bureau's warning about doing business with them.

We canceled our flights for a $300 penalty...fine. However, it was due to a medical issue in my family and their website and customer service representative told me that the fees would be waived with a doctors note and correct documentation. I sent all the information regarding the medical issue, don't hear back for 3/4 days, so I call and they say that they only waive fees for death, well...that's not what your website says. We rebook the flights, they say it will be $200 per ticket for a rebooking fee, that is nowhere mentioned on their site. This should be a warning BEFORE you cancel your flight, but they decide to warn you about the rebooking fee after canceling your original flight.

We decide to suck up the fees, and rebook the flights. Give them our credit card info, get put on hold, and they come back and say the flights are no longer available. We hang up to decide upon different flights. But they CHARGE the card for $297 dollars when nothing was completed on the phone.
Since then, we have been on the phone with them up to 12-15 times by this point. 3 of those times, we've been on the phone for over an hour and then hung up on. THREE TIMES.

When finally paying for the new flights, on the phone we were quoted $198, but they charged us $394. IT'S A SCAM. At this point we are not even sure that we have an actual flight!

  38. I have never felt so completely ripped off by a company in my entire life. I booked a flight with JustFly.com on August 24, 2017 for our family of five to travel to Europe. The process was very easy and smooth. In trying to upgrade our seats, they cancelled our old flight, said they weren't going to refund my original amount unless I paid and additional $9,000 for upgraded seating to first class. And they charged my credit card twice! Worst company ever!

  40. I want to be part of the lawsuit. I have been reading all the comments. Have anything been done to move this lawsuit forward? I have been scam by justfly and it has cost me $4473 and I have no flight, just a flight credit but in reality it's a penalty for nooking with justfly. I had purchased 6 tickets to Hawaii for March 28- April 4. I had to cancel so they said I needed to pay the cancellation fee if $60 per tickets but I will get a travel credit of $4473 to use for future flights. The travel credit expire in November 27, 2018 and it has to be the same flight from Lax to Lihue. I told them that will be fine. When I try to rebook my flight using the travel credit, the cost of tickets was almost double if what I had paid originally. I had paid $745 for each ticket. When I rebook using my travel credit it was $400 more. I received fare alert on my phone stating the tickets are $475. When I went to book it, it is a completely different price. I called and spoke w a supervisor and they told me that when I cancel w the agent, I was told that the price w go up. I told him they did not tell me the price will go up this much. I knew the prices will fluctuate but had a fare alert. When I get alert when the fare was low, I try to purchase with the low price. The told me since I have a travel credit, the price per tickets will be different for me. I completely dont understand that. Why is it a different price for me than anyone else. Why can't they give me the price I saw on my phone through fare alert. I have already paid for my tickets ($4473) and the penalties fir cancelling. Right now I am in limbo. No tickets, my money is tied up with them, no destination. I am afraid to rebook with them. I dont want to loose any more money. I dont know what to do.

How can we move this lawsuit forward. Please help me get my money back. We have paid for our resort and its nonrefundable.

  41. I booked a multil-eg flight via JustFly using United/Turkish. First leg of flight delayed hours but United desk assured us our returning flight would not be cancelled. Delay caused us to miss our flight from JFK. Called JustFly to get put on another, but waited 2+ hours without answer. All JFK service desks (including Turkish) were closed so no one at airport to help. Our final destination was Tanzania to climb Kilimanjaro. We'd already purchased a $2000 group climb that would depart (with or without us) on Fri, Feb. 9. So if we didn't get on an alternate flight that night (within the next 5 hours) we would miss our entire climb without refund. Since still on hold with United / JustFly and no answers, we did only thing we could and booked a one-way flight from Boston to JRO that would get us to Tanzania in time for the climb. We rented a car ($150) and drove 3.5 hours to Boston to catch that flight. Finally got through to United but they said they had to talk to Turkish and JustFly said they had to talk with United and Turkish - but all providers assured us the return flights would be reinstated. We got to Tanzania and (since we had no cell service on the climb) had our parents back home try to resolve the situation with United/Turkish/Justfly. They were on the phone waiting and trying to resolve for 50+ hours with JustFly over the two weeks we climbed Kilimanjaro. Several times, returning flights were promised, but ultimately no provider took responsibility for the delay, so we completely lost $1300 in value of departing/returning flights. We ended up having to pay $1900 more in total for the new departing flight to JRO and for new returning flights (since the providers refused to reinstate). To top things off, my checked baggage was lost. I will never book through JustFly again. They have absolutely no pull with other airlines. Worst decision ever and I wish I'd seen the BBB warning before booking.

When I called to see what went wrong, they offered to cancel the flight for $75 and will take 10 days to get the $376 back. Basically promised one thing, delivered a different thing and made $75 in the process. Why?

  43. I booked a flight and had to reschedule so my best option they said was to pay $150 cancellation and get my $980 refund. Then i was directed to another back door site with prices for flights at same price, now $500 more. I posted a review and then social@justfly said they would help me. They never replied after that. Needless to say, i lost $675.

I have been calling American Airlines and they have been NO HELP and calling Just Fly and even worse. I was trying to call American Airlines to get more leg room seats and they said they cost most even for handicap people. They will sell them to me but said even them thee is no guarantee I will get them. Or I can wait and ask at the gate before boarding but again no guarantee. The reviews on Just Fly are just like mine. Terrible customer service, and then I found they charged me for regular seating. I was outraged. I said I have been trying to get more leg room seats because of being handicapped so why would I pay 30.00 for any seat.? She said she will give me a one time refund on the seats of 30.00 but that is all. No airline charges for seating on regular seating on there site but it seems they have a lot of unethical practices. DO NOT FLY JUST FLY.COM OR YOU WILL REGRET IT BAD. i HAVE NOTICED THEY DO NOT REPLY TO BAD REVIEWS OR MOST.

  53. The previous comments have said it all regarding Justfly. I do believe that a class action is necessary to either force these folks into compliance with the law or out of business. The latter would be preferable to me at this point.I am in total agreement with all of these aforementioned comments but until a class action is formed, may I suggest another alternative to stop this companies deceitful business practices. All airlines as well sites like Justfly are overseen and governed by the Department of Transportation (DOT). The DOT keeps a record of all the complaints against these companies and has the authority to shut down a company for violation of DOT regulations. I suggest that everyone here file a complaint with the DOT regarding Justfly...lets see how fast we can clip this companies wings.........

  54. I'd like to join the lawsuit. I booked a flight and cancelled it to attend the funeral of my best friend over a year and a half ago, they charged me for the cancellation and then never refunded me. I've called them over and over again, spending hours of the phone each time. Each call it's a new excuse, wait for this wait for that, they just wait out the clock until you can't file a claim with your credit card company anymore. That's what happened to me. I am literally on hold with them now with their shrill music screeching in my ear, as if they're trying to torment me into hanging up. I lost over $1000 with them and that's a lot of money for me. How is this business still functioning?

I booked 4 airline tickets with Justfly.com in Nov. 2017 for a June 2018 flight. I had noticed on 2 of the tickets there was the wrong gender put in. . I ended up having to cancel and they gave me a credit after a $300 cancellation fee. Now when I’m trying to rebooked I have called 6 times and keep getting disconnected when I object to the extra fee for rebooking. They wanted to charge me another $400 dollars . I got take. For well over $1000s of dollars.

They also input my name incorrectly in my ticket which is why I cancelled. The idiot on the phone literally said, "Well, the name difference isn't so bad, it's small so it's okay." Absolute fucking idiots and conmen. Should not be operating at all, especially in a country with infrastrcture and consumer protection agencies that uphold the law.

They told me to cancel and rebook and with the acceptance of $75.00 penalty today I called to use my travel credit to book another flight for June- July. Although they have the same route flight with American Airline the same pricing but they refused to apply my travel credit without another $extra $200.00 Penalty I also called American Airline since I bought from JustFly therefore I should deal with them. It is funny I booked with Just Fly and my credit card is charged by American Airline where as $75.00 penalty was charged by JustFly!! JUST BE HONEST AND DO NOT CHARGE ME TWICE PENALITY. 61. I want to be added to this as well. I am dealing with them now and I purchased my flight and had to reschedule. Paid the cancellation fee of $75 per person and on my itinerary there is 4 so they got $300 and then and said I had a flight credit of $881.52 for future flight credit and now I can’t use it without paying another $500 penalty which leaves me with 3 something to book another flight and pay more for the difference. This business is a complete scam and we need to move forward on the class action suit because it is still a problem til this day.

  62. I want to be added to this as well:
Purchased two tickets for roundtrip from USA to India ($2800) along with 24hr cancellation policy ($100) and CSA Travel Protection ($100) in emirates via JUSTFLY.com

JUSTFLY.com refunded $100 paid towards travel protection very next day, without giving any reason. Now when I asked to cancel my tickets (due to medical reasons - Open heart surgery and not fully recovered to fly),
    A) Justfly.com saying, that my tickets are non-refundable, plus I do not have CSA travel protection too. (They refunded without giving any reason).
    B) Justfly.com says, they can’t give credit for future use.
    C) When asked to reschedule diff dates, first they said, they will charge $450 per passenger plus difference in price for the new dates. Next day they came back stating they will charge $750 per passenger plus difference in price.
    D) When insisted to cancel on medical grounds (I have submitted all my medical records), they said they will charge $150 per passenger as cancellation charges, but will not refund any money of ticket (makes absolutely no sense)

The representative named Sidney with employee ID: 3195 is not at all courteous and when I requested for higher authority for escalation, he responded back stating he is the highest authority that I need to deal with, giving me option “use it or loose it”.

On May 31 their website would not allow me to cancel the trip online , it was locked because of 1st flight cancelation , message in red was showing 800 to call. I called, JustFly charged me $150 cancelation fee. 7/02 I called to check the refund status and was told "my request to cancel was not processed because JustFly learned I disputed the charges with my credit card" JustFly knows exactly how to scheme, $150 charge shows as "modification" and JustFly notified my CC that I never canceled the flight, which was enough for the bank to deny my dispute. 67. FRAUD!!!FRAUD!!!FRAUD!!! I got scammed for $3,350 from Justfly after trying to ligitimately cancel in time to honor my travel insurances requirements. I must add here that the insurance was booked through them. After long intermittent hold times "Janet" with a Phillipine accent took my cc number for the $450 for the cancelation of three round trip tickets three days before the flight. She told me that I will get a cancelation email within 24 hours. Why not right away? They said that they are going to check to get me the $900 sales tax from the airline. Of course I was foolish to think all is dandy. Two days later a day before the flight I get an email telling me what to do with my luggage. Naturally I check my cc and it was not charged and there was no cancelation email sent. I call just fly and "Jim" some where in India says there is no record of the previous call or cancellation!!!! I was very upset to tell the least. Here is the kicker for punishment that I could not blieve that I am being scamed .. He gets me to "cancel" once more with the promise that they will send me a cancelation email that would be backdated to Thursday. When I give him the cc number he tells me that it is not going through and that I should use another card. I insist that that can't be true as there is a large limit on it. Sure enough...I make a mistake again and in my desperation give them my ATM card and miraculously that goes through. His giveaway and mistake was not to ask me for the three digit code for the cc and presumably tells me that that card would not work as he saw that it is a cc not a debit. He did not fail to ask for the 3 digit code for the ATM. Sure enough no cancelation email for the flight and my Debit card was charged the $450. I called WOW air yesterday that was our departure day with the flight details and they are not allowed to tell me if my seats were canceles as I have booked through a third party. What a mess!!! They are shamelessly committing fraud in the open and no one is doing anything about it!!! I am a single mother of 2 young children that is the sole provider who got 3 reasonably prices tickets, canceled them for ligitimate reasons to then loose out big time. There is so much shame in this and I feel powerless.

  71. Last November My wife and I booked three round trip tickets (at $1,929.52) with a travel agency called Justfly.com for our family to go see our friends in Costa Rica. Very suddenly we had to reschedule our trip because our lodging accommodations changed. So we had to cancel our original tickets and book a different date.
...I realize cancelling tickets is already a risky business even when dealing directly with the airlines and most often you aren’t able to get a full refund. However, Justfly.com assured us that if we pay an extra $450.00 “cancellation fee” they would give us an $1,929.52 voucher/credit which we could use to book a flight to Costa Rica anytime before 2019.

A few weeks ago we called Justfly.com to redeem our $1,929.52 voucher/credit and book a flight. My wife was put on hold for an unusually long period of time. Then she was transferred to at least three different people, none of which could find any record of our credit. Finally her call was dropped in mid-conversation after she expressed her concern that this seemed very much like a “scam”.

We tried again today to reach someone at Justfly.com who could in any way possible help book our flights to Costa Rica using the voucher/credit which we payed $450.00 for. However, we were completely unable to reach a representative at all.

It certainly looks as though we were ultimately scammed for a grand total of over $2,379.52.

It certainly looks as though we were ultimately scammed for a grand total of $2,379.52.

If a legitimate Class Action Lawsuit is enacted my wife and I would certainly participate. Please notify us at jesse@jesseabrahampainting.com

  75. I booked a flight for my boyfriend and I to go to Cuba, we had to cancel at the last minute because we weren't ready to go yet, I paid the $150 cancellation fee for each of us($300 total). I still have a travel credit of $594 but when I called to re-book they told me they were going to charge me $200 each to re-book ($400 more just to book the new flights). Absolutely ridiculous!! I want my money back!!

  77. In April I booked a round trip flight for my girlfriend to visit me in November. In June I had to cancel the flight because she wasn't able to make it. I was charged a $150 fee on my credit card. They told me I would have travel credit as long as I used it by April 2019. In the first week of September, I booked a new flight but they charged me the full amount for the flight. They told me the original flight had not been cancelled and they had no record of a cancellation. When I emailed them the charge on my credit card statement, they sent me an automated email stating that there was a problem with my flight and as of September 12, my flight was cancelled. I told them as long as they credit my new flight with the travel credit, that would be acceptable to me. They refused. I had to call my credit card company to get the refund from the first flight and second flight. I couldn't get the $150 cancellation fee back.

    Subject: General Inquiry
    Message: Hello,

I booked flight via Justfly.com on Sat, Jun 23 to travel to India in the month of December. for that I paid $1078.96 USD. Now on ~November 28th they told that flights are cancelled. So, my option is to delay my plan for more than a week as they may fly 7 days later or rebook with new airlines. I requested them to rebook but they were offering me current charges which are almost double than $1078. I requested them to adjust my prices or give me offer. Because with this last moment flight cancellation I am paying more than double. But they didn’t understand and didn’t cooperate.
So, I requested them to cancel my booking and request for refund. Which they issue as flight was not flying for 7 days.

Then I rebooked in differ flight but in total I paid 2031.49 which is $952.53 extra than my original amount paid in June. I was aware that flights will increase that’s the reason I booked well in advance via Justfly.com. Now if the airline do last moment changes I would expect Justfly.com to understand and perhaps pay the additional amount on flight.

Can you please review my case and help me in getting additional amount $952.53 that I paid.

  83. I can't recall actual dates, but have everything on record if need be.
I booked a flight to Tbilisi, Georgia (country - not US state) on JustFly.com. During the course of my booking, more seats were taken so the price for the flight went up. I was afraid to lose that spot, so I purchased an extended 24-hour cancellation policy for additional $19.99 to cancel the flight if need be. I immediately found the same flight for cheaper on Cheapoair. I booked that flight, then returned to my booking with JustFly to cancel it. There was a button for cancelling a booking that did not work as the payment was still "pending". I could not call yet because I was at work. When the payment had been processed, the "cancel my booking" button had disappeared completely. As soon as I was able to make a call, I called JusFly to cancel my booking. They told me that the airline my ticket was bought through (Aeroflot) allow 1 hour cancellations and it has been 1 hour and 10 minutes, so they are unable to cancel. I told them that is not my problem - I purchased an extended cancellation policy from JustFly, so now JustFly is obligated to cancel my flight and refund me the full amount - how they go about it is not my concern. He told me he could not do anything. I filed for a chargeback (credit card dispute) but my credit card company (Bank of America - Visa) sided with JustFly stating JustFly had a fine print during the booking process stating that the majority of the airlines they book through do not allow any refunds. Because I clicked confirm and book, I agreed to that stipulation and thus they cannot refund my money.

JustFly sells $19.99 extended cancellation policies that are useless. They may as well have a "would you like to pay an extra $20 for your ticket?" option. Actually, I am sorry, I am wrong - their policy would be useless if it did not benefit me. It actually did not benefit me, mislead me, and cost me more money, so that makes it less than useless.

Such a company should not be allowed to continue to operate. I know I stand to gain very little in a class action law suit, but I want them out of business and I want an example made of them to teach other companies to not engage in fraudulent business such as this.

I see this blog was made in 2015 - please tell me something is actually being done to go forward with a class action suit, other than collecting comments from people who had the misfortune to deal with JustFly.

  84. To update you ( read my JULY 14, 2017 post above ) . I had been waiting for an administrator to respond and so far he was incommunicado! So I decided to go ahead on my own. After I spoke with a lawyer, wrote a letter, mailed a certificate letter, contacted BB. I finally got a full refund. Being said, I would suggest you to contact a lawyer or file a small claim suit against Just Fly. Yes I agree that JustFly should be shut down completely!! Good luck!

  85. Hi - I made reservations for this december to Japan and South Korea. I called months prior to the trip to cancel for medical- and I got through to someone who charged me $300 to cancel my reservation. In the initial reservation I purchased the insurance. HOWEVER, JUSTFLY said that the girl made a mistake and shouldn't have cancelled my reservation. I then realized that they modified my trip and took the $300 and charged it to a trip modification - and stated that I needed insurance again. I also notice that when you attempt to print - they don't show what's on the screen. I'm going to call a lawyer and send a certified letter as well as call the BBB like DavidM did above. I may also take them to small claims - David - who did you send the email to and do you have a content draft?

I had a very bad experience when I bought a ticket from you over the phone. Your agent was notified at the time of reservation that my son was traveling in wheel chair. Your agent did not explain to us that we have to take a taxi out my pocket to go from DC to Dulles. We confronted problem with the airlines who said that you were responsible for sealing a ticket with all those steps, knowing the conditions of the passengers.

We lost the ride in OAJ, NC and spent 180 dollars more in taxi, due to the delayed caused by this inconvenience. I talked with you and let you know what happened and request a compensation from you for the inconvenient we had on that trip. I still waiting that someone from your company call me and offer me some kind of compensation. I did not agree to travel from one airport to another one.

If you have any question, please feel free to call me at (910)539-2022 or (910)265-5546.

    Sincerely,

  94. This website charged us $200 to cancel a ticket and said insurance that we bought would pay for it. And then the insurance does not want to pay for anything. Then they charged us $30 for seating preference on a cancelled flight.
We had to cancel another flight for $300 within 24 hours and that too was a scam because they made us call the airlines and the airlines only refunded half the money and said call Justfly for rest. And of course Justfly did not bother doing anything regardless of the fake advertisement.

  96. is this lawsuit still ongoing? I would like to fight them for predatory practices..and what seems like fraud in my opinion. I bought 2 flights for me and my friend. and He got sick, so he cancelled, and we were issued a travel credit AFTER paying a $75 cancelation fee. I now am trying to use my credit and cannot because they said the credit is in the passengers name (my friend) and not mine. Making the credit in my account impossible to use. I was not informed of the credits un-transferability prior to paying my cancellation fee, and then when I tried to rebook it under my friends name, they tried to charge me another $75 REBOOKING fee. When I asked them why this was, they told me it was airline policy, I called jetblue, and they told me they HAVE NO SUCH REBOOKING FEE..only a cancellation fee. ..Justfly then tells me that they use a different terminology and that the initial cancellation fee is their fee, and that the new rebooking fee..is jet blues OD cancelation fee..at that point it felt fraudulent.. you cant use your own terminology to put out false pretenses when Im paying for something.. I cannot dispute them on my card either because the charge comes up as jetblue..but JUSTFLY are the ones holding my money/travel credit..jetblue said they would have transferred the credit or switched the name on the ticket had I not booked with justfly.. I want to sue..or fight..this should be ILLEGAL!!!

  99. I purchased a flight from San Diego to the Phillipines and due to Covid-19 it was cancelled and the only alternate flight available on the site couldn't be booked due to a timing issue. Luckily, or so I thought, I purchased travel protection so I filed a claim. After about two months, it was denied because, and I quote, " Your policy only provides benefits for specific, listed events including Quarantine, and defines Quarantine as, " . . . the enforced isolation of you or your Traveling Companion, for the purpose of preventing the spread of illness, disease or pests."

Please also note stay-at-home orders are not considered Quarantine as these stay-at-home orders are not enforced isolation.

Additionally, the policy states "We will not pay for any loss under this Policy, caused by, or resulting from: . . . travel restrictions imposed for a certain area by governmental authority."

As the reason for your cancellation does not meet the requirements of a listed, Covered Event and is subject to exclusion, no benefits are payable for your claim. Please refer to the Description of Coverage or Travel Insurance Policy for further information."

They gave me a voucher for the CSA protection amount of about $70, but my ticket is nearly $1000.

Glad to know that the stay-at-home order was never enforced according to them! What a fucking waste of a business!

  110. I just went out to check and this website is still active and scamming people. What's the deal with that? How can these people still be operating with all the complaints leveled against it. I have an idea that the governments of this company are in on the scam and getting kick-backs. This page can not be the only one listing complaints and what about the people that don't know about this site? Maybe I ought to contact a REAL planner and go find these people and speak to them face to face, so to speak.

  111. My wife tried for 6 months to receive a refund that was misdirected to a canceled credit card. Seemed like good cooperation until all paper work from the bank was submitted and then my wife spent over 40 hours on the phone with no results. Finally became obvious that they did not plan on giving the money back but were paying cheap wages to workers in Africa to scam customers into thinking someone was working on the claim. Only way to get money back from these scammers is a lawsuit and since this is a no refund scam the money will be hidden so good luck with that!
